Welcome to my site. I am a pretty avid outdoors person and over the years I’ve done scuba diving, mountaineering, rock climbing, hiking, camping and running. In each of those cases I’ve found that having the right watch can really help my performance. For instance, when I first started training with a heart rate monitor I found I was working both harder and smarter, getting my heartrate into the right thresholds in the intervals to build speed and working in lower fat- buring zones to build my endurance.
While mountaineering, I’ve found that an essential tool to helping guage progress is a watch with an altimeter so I can figure out what my pace on the ascent is and also plan turnaround times.
Anyhow, it struck me that there are a lot of watch sites out there, but few of them really talk about using watches as insturments for extreme sports. So I figured I’d start this as a place for discussion. I hope you like it and hope you stay.
